ASML and Incooling have won the first CoSta Award for the most successful and impactful innovative collaboration between a corporate company and a startup. The public award of the CoSta Awards went to Nouryon and Semiotic Labs. The prizes were awarded by Hans de Boer, chairman of VNO-NCW. The CoSta program was set up by VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland.
More innovative
In total, four partnerships were nominated as inspiring examples of how corporates and startups can work together. “We are a unique country because of these wonderful partnerships,” De Boer said. “The prize winners show what small and large can achieve together to make our country more innovative.”
In the shop-window
With the new Award, VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland want to showcase the collaboration between startups and corporates to establish even more fruitful partnerships. Various instruments have been designed from the CoSta program to help companies with this since this collaboration is not always automatic. For example, startups sometimes have difficulty getting into corporates.
Nominees
Incooling was founded last year with the help of ASML and ensured less energy consumption when cooling data centres. Semiotic Labs, which cooperates with Nouryon, offers solutions to monitor essential components such as pumps closely. Universities are also involved in the collaboration. Tessares offers the possibility to use high bandwidths for reasonable rates in areas where fibre optic installation is too expensive. Partner was KPN, which has the necessary experience in working with start-ups. KPMG cooperates with Circular IQ. By combining data technology from Circular IQ and a methodology from KPMG itself, KPMG customers can easily be assisted in making the transition to a circular economy.
